Why Handig exists
Everyone sometimes has a file that won’t cooperate: a PDF that is too big, a photo in the wrong format, a video that won’t go through by email. Handig puts the right tools on one board, free and without fuss.
Why your files stay on your device
Today a browser can merge PDFs, edit photos and trim videos on its own. So that is where we do it, not on our server. It is safer for you and cheaper for us, and that is why the tools can stay free.
Seven apps, one board
Each app has its own job and its own name: Plooi for PDF, Snipsel for photos, Spoel for audio and video, Rekenblad for text and data, Snoei for the web, Zegel for Belgian paperwork and Kleurstaal for design and colour. Every tool has its own page in four languages.
Who makes Handig
Handig is made by nealvdv (Neal Van de Velde), a Belgian web maker, who also makes Bureel for the small business. Questions, or ideas for a tool you miss? Email contact@nealvdv.be.
How Handig is paid for
Not with ads and not with your data. What runs in your browser stays free. Handig Plus, for those who want to support Handig, keeps the board up. Part of every payment goes to a good cause.
What we build on
We believe in dealing honestly with what someone else entrusts to you, even if it is only a file. That is why we promise nothing we don’t do, and tell you beforehand what happens to your file. For us, that attitude comes from the Christian faith.
